Why riders pick CKL

Built for first kites and faster progression

We're a small school by design. Smaller groups, certified coaches, and the conditions you actually need to learn fast.

World-class conditions

Side-onshore wind, bathtub-warm water, and a wide sandy bay. Cabarete is one of the few spots that's both fast to learn and fun to ride.

IKO certified instructors

Full International Kiteboarding Organization curriculum, walkie-talkie helmets, and printed progress cards you take home after every session.

What our students say

4.9 / 5 from 600+ riders

★★★★★

"Came as a complete beginner from Quebec and was riding upwind by day three. Marco's coaching on the radio felt like a cheat code — I knew exactly what to fix in real time."

Camille L. · Montréal
★★★★★

"Booked the Kite Week with my partner. Sofía split us into the right pace from day one, the wind held all week, and we left with progress cards and tan lines. No notes."

Jonas R. · Hamburg
★★★★★

"Did a 5-hour intermediate pack with Lukas to clean up my transitions. Walked away with my first proper toeside ride and a long list of drills. Worth every dollar."

Why Cabarete actually deserves the title

From late November through August, the trade winds funnel into Cabarete Bay almost every afternoon. The reef breaks up the swell, the sandy bottom keeps the water flat in the lagoon, and the wind sits in the 15–25 knot range — the textbook learning window.

Our beachside center sits on the eastern end of Kite Beach, where the wind cleans up first and the bay opens out for long downwinders. Lunch is a 30-second walk. Sunset session is on the way home.
